- Stroller-friendly event! But all strollers must start in the final wave (you will need to walk to the right of starting gate when the race begins and not go through the gate.) Please be prepare for the last stretch which is on the race track! See FAQ for more info
Packet Pick Up Options

10:00 am – 2:00 pm – Registration / Packet Pick Up at Run With Us, 235 N Lake Ave, Pasadena, CA 91101. Register and save on running merchandise! Bibs will be available; t-shirts will need to picked up on race day.
FRIDAY, APRIL 5, 2024
4:00 pm – 6:30 pm – Registration / Packet Pick Up at the The Shops at Santa Anita; T-shirts, Goodie Bags and Bib Numbers will be handed out in Center Court.
SATURDAY, APRIL 6, 2024
6:30 am – 7:45 am – Registration / Packet Pick Up at the Start Line (Gate 3); ONLY bib numbers will be available at the start line! Goodie Bags & T-shirts are ONLY available in the infield/finish line area.

Santa Anita Park is located just east of Pasadena off the I-10 and 210 freeways. The address is: Santa Anita Park, 285 W. Huntington Drive, Arcadia, CA 91007. Use specially marked “sticker lane” through Gate #3 or Gate #5 or Gate 8.
5K AWARDS
1st Place in 5K divisions will receive a certificate for a pair of Diadora shoes. Second and third-place division winners will receive a medal add-on with their place.

Kids Run
All registered Kids Run participants will receive a finisher’s medal. There are no awards for the first finishers.
Santa Anita Derby Day 5K is committed to providing a safe event and follows the USA Safesport Council policies.
5K Course
The 5K course starts near Gate 3 and runs through the beautiful Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden, finishing on the legendary Santa Anita Race Track! View a course map here.
Kid's Races
The Kid’s Races offer children ages 12 & under an opportunity to “Run Like the Ponies”!
- At 9;45 am Ages 7-12 will compete in a 6-Furlong race. Starting close to the main finish line, they will run around the track, completing 3/4 mile, finishing at the main finish line.
- At 10:05 am Ages 6 & under will run in the “Homestretch Dash” (approx. 50 yards) down the track’s straightaway, finishing at the main finish line.
All finishers receive a Kid’s Finisher’s Medal, T-shirt and goodie bag! There are no age division awards for Kids Races.
Spring Carnival
The Santa Anita Spring Carnival brings amazing twists and turns to Santa Anita Infield which you can enjoy after the 5K Walk/Run. All 5K & Kids Race participants have the chance to pre-purchase an unlimited ride wristband for only $15 (regular price $30) Rides open at approximately 9:00 am! You can purchase your discounted wristband while you register!
