Plan to take full advantage of your race entry, which includes free parking before 9:00 am and an admission pass for a day of Thoroughbred racing on Santa Anita Derby Day. Please enter the parking areas from Gate #3, #5 or #8.

Gate Details: 

• Please see the gate map here.
• Gate #5 – if you are coming from Colorado Place or Huntington Dr, it is much faster to enter Gate 5 and follow signs to Event Parking.
• Gate #8 – closes at 7:30 am.
• Gate #3 – While Gate 3 is located closest to the start line and packet pick up, it is the busiest gate. Expect heavy traffic!  If you are coming from the east, use Gate 5 instead and follow signs to the start line.
• If you leave after the race and then come back for the horse races, you’ll need to pay for parking. 

Parking Lot Tips: 

• Lot A or B – All 5K runners would be best to park in lot A or B
• Lot B – closest to the start line, but keep in mind it is also the furthest walk from the finish line!
• Lot A – great equidistance option between the start and finish.
• Lot J – If you are only parking for Kids Runs, we suggest parking in Lot J, off Colorado Place and entering the infield through the Colorado Tunnel.

Directions:

From 210 Westbound

• Exit Huntington Dr (do not take Baldwin, as Google/AppleMaps often suggest).
• Continue to Gate 5.

From 210 Eastbound

• Exit Baldwin Ave
• Turn right on Baldwin Ave
• Left into Gate 8 *
• * If you arrive after 7:30, you will need to turn left onto Stanford, right on Harvard Dr, right on Colorado Pl and right into Gate 5

From 10 Westbound 

• Exit Temple City Blvd and turn right
• Turn right onto Loftus Dr.
• Turn left onto Baldwin Ave.
• Turn right into Gate 8*
• *if you arrive after 7:40, you will need to turn right on Huntington Dr and left into Gate 3

From 10 Eastbound 

• Exit Baldwin Ave and head north
• Turn right into Gate 8 (if you arrive after 7:40, you will need to turn right on Huntington Dr and left into Gate 3.
